Welcome to Latin America, Home of Hugo Chavez...

Latin America is a very diverse landscape that has its own interesting geographic features as well as shared cultural beliefs. In many aspects, Latin America is very similar to North America besides the fact that they're on opposite sides of the equator.

Familiar Predicament with a Hint of Nuance

Just as with North America, Latin America has a huge diversity when it comes to geographic and climatic features. Northern Latin America is unbelievably humid and hot, containing the large river systems and several tropical rain forests. The most widely known are the Amazon rain forest and the Amazon River which is the largest river in the world moving, on average, 219,000 cubic meters of water per second. On the western side, there is the massive Andes mountain range that runs through Chile, Bolivia, Peru, Brazil, Colombia, and Venezuela.

La Tierra de la Feudal: The Land of the Feudal

Without a doubt, the most prevalent fact about Latin America is its ancient governmental standpoint. Back a long time ago, Spain and Portugal were busy attending to the killing, conquering, and destruction of early Latin American civilizations such as the Incas and the Aztecs. Those who were left over from the slaughter were enslaved and converted to Christianity. The reigning Kings of Spain and Portugal couldn't rule the land from so far away, so they commanded the leading officers over in Latin America to take over and conduct things as they had always been done back in their home countries. That move singlehandedly planted the seed of feudalism

The Peeps in the Hood

The one thing thats very interesting about a majority of South American people is the fact that they are all dirt-poor (and in the lady's case really ugly). It isn't usually their fault, but rather the government's folly. Since the government is feudalist and it has absolutely all the power, it leaves the people with absolutely nothing at all.
